Pamela is an independent artist and songwriter. She needed a website to host her music, art, and blog. She wanted it to serve as a platform where people can engage if they’re interested in her story. She also wanted to reach more people who would be inspired, encouraged, and healed by her story.
She needed a website and a strategy to find new people.
Pam’s marketing strategy relies heavily on sharing her story and building a connection with people who have been through hard times. That’s who she is and that’s what her brand is.
The best way for Pam to reach new people is through social media. Sharing inspiration messages and empathetic messages allow her to connect with so many people.
Additionally, uploading her music to YouTube lets her reach a wider audience of people who enjoy listening to music.
From there, collecting emails and using them to send updates keep her audience loyal. Updating people when a new blog comes out, a new song is released, or a new painting is finished keeps people in the loop on what’s going on in her life.
Because Pam’s experiences are so vast, she has several interests, and her heart is open to other people’s needs, using nature and the ocean as inspiration for the design seemed like the best choice.
We used the colors of the ocean as the primary colors with accents of pink to stand out. We also used the depth of the ocean as inspiration for several layers in the design. Pam’s story is years in the making, has several deep and meaningful experiences, and is seen in all aspects of her life.
As far as layout goes, Spotify inspired the music library and Pinterest inspired the gallery.
We used Webflow as the primary platform for hosting Pam’s music as it allowed us to create the design we were looking for, build custom animations and interactions, and manage almost everything from a CMS. We had to use Dropbox to host the mp3 files and link them to Webflow.
We were able to set it up in a way that allowed Pam to continue managing her music, stories, and blog.
