Mehul Sharan

Overview

Mejul Sharan is an independent copywriter who makes most of his living on Twitter. He has coined the term “cash writer” as a way to communicate ghost writing that is designed to make money. He had started to gain traction on Twitter, but needed a website that would help convert leads.

Logo Design

Because his service is a version of ghost writing, it made sense to me to have a ghost at the end of a pencil to be the logo.

It is very simple and can be made out of vectors. This was very important because the logo needs to be able to scale up and scale down.

Web Design

Mehul already had a brand in the making using the colors black, gold, and white. He also used serif fonts for the gold color, and san-serif for the white.

But… that’s all I had to work with.

I pulled his picture from Twitter and built a basic brand for him.

Because he is promoting a service called “cash writing”, I thought it would work well for the hero of the design to be a large design.

Web Development

For the development, I used Webflow. This is because Webflow is a great dev tool for designers and allows for a lot of animations. What’s more is that Webflow has a long history, several integrations, lots of built-in functionality, and will allow Mehul to scale his business in the future.

Inbound Marketing Strategy

Finally, I built an inbound marketing strategy to help him out on his journey. Because he is starting a term called “cash writing”, he is creating his own keyword. I had him start writing blogs on the topic and promote those special keywords. This will position him as an authority figure and start getting rankings without trying.

That puts it on him to define exactly what it means and what people need to know when searching the term.

From there, he needs to repurpose the content across social platforms to promote traffic to his site. He needs to collect emails to remarket to customers, and work on his offer to increase conversion rates.
